HOD’s Message

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1957. The department has evolved over the past 65 years to keep up with the ever-increasing challenges and needs of technology. The department currently has an intake of 60 students. The department provides a three-year diploma programme that includes core Mechanical Engineering subjects such as thermal engineering, strength of materials, refrigeration and air conditioning, computer-aided drafting. The students also receive encouragement from the department to conduct and participate in multiple state and national level events every year to enhance not only their technical skills but also to update them on modern developments in technology. The department has produced numerous numbers of technically excellent students by providing them proper guidance and resources.
